“We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.” -Unknown ♥
I’ve traveled the US pretty thoroughly over the course of my life. I’ve been on more road trips than I can possibly count, and lived in 10 states (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Colorado, Texas, South Dakota, Missouri, Georgia, Virginia and Florida).
US States I’ve Visited (All but Alaska!)
Around the World
I cut my travel teeth early! I was born in Japan to American parents (on a US military base, so no I’m not Japanese!). I got my first passport at 6 weeks old! My parents took me to the US to meet my grandparents, and we took a three-day visit to South Korea while I was a baby. When I was one, we moved to the United States.
Then our family lived in England from 1991-1994. My brother and I went to a British private school there. While we were living in England, we visited Wales, France and Germany.
I visited Canada for the first time in 2015, and I explored quite a lot there! I went to Vancouver, British Columbia; Toronto & Ottawa, Ontario; Montreal & Quebec City, Quebec; Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; Halifax, Nova Scotia; and St. John, New Brunswick.
I backpacked alone in South America from January – April, 2016, visiting:
Colombia: Bogotá, Zipaquirá, Medellín, Cartagena, Barranquilla, Minca and San Gil
Ecuador: Quito, Latacunga, Baños de Agua Santa, Cuenca, Loja and Vilcabamba
Perú: Piura, Trujillo, Huanchaco Beach, and Huaraz
In 2016 I moved to South Korea and took a two day trip to Hong Kong. I’m still currently living in South Korea, and have plans to visit Japan, Singapore and Malaysia this summer!
